Position Description:

ARiA is looking for a highly motivated self-starter and low-ego team player to work as the Information Technology (IT) Site Lead for our Seattle, WA office.

As the IT Site Lead you will be responsible for infrastructure, operations, and security for our Seattle office. You will work in close coordination with members of the ARiA team including the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), the System Administrator (Sysadmin), and the corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support the day-to-day IT operations and security processes of ARiA and help to ensure physical, personnel, and information security.

Responsibilities:

As an integral member of the ARiA IT and security teams, the IT Site Lead maintains and ensuring the security of ARiA IT systems through:

  • configuration and setup of local workstations
  • setup of server systems
  • local network troubleshooting
  • configurations and user management on cloud platforms (GSuite, Slack, etc.)
  • user management on ARiA server systems (GitLab, LDAP, etc.)
  • creating, tracking, and responding to help-desk requests
  • maintaining records of ARiA hardware and software assets
  • supporting SIEM tooling and processes

Support the Sysadmin in configuring, administering, and monitoring local and cloud-based information systems, including high-performance computing systems, servers, and user workstations, in accordance with required security guidelines. 

Working collaboratively with the ISSM, Sysadmin, and software-development team, perform or support activities necessary to ensure the safety of IT assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction, serving as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the ARiA Seattle office.

Working with a team across all of the ARiA locations including the corporate FSO, perform activities necessary to ensure the safety of physical information for implementing applicable requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and related Federal requirements as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the ARiA Seattle office.

Requirements:

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information. Those selected for employment will be subject to a government security investigation.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or relevant training/experience

Currently holding, or can obtain within 6 months of start date, an appropriate certificate as defined by DoD Directive 8570.01-M IAM I (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher

Broad familiarity with IT systems including networking (e.g., LAN, WAN, Routing, Firewalls, and VPN) and IT system architecture fundamentals

Excellent oral and written communication skills and professional manner

Exceptional ability and desire to acquire new knowledge and skills to solve challenges

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced professional office environment

Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

Fluency with Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu) including scripting in Bash, Perl, or Python

Agile and DevOps methodologies, continuous integration and deployment, operations management

Server and HPC (GPGPU) setup and configuration

Optimal candidates will have experience with some of the following practices and tools

CI/CD tools: GitLab

Containerization: Docker / Docker Swarm / Kubernetes

Configuration Management: Ansible

Networking: LDAP (OpenLDAP), DNS, DHCP

Networking: Firewall Configuration and Management (Fortinet)

System monitoring and analysis tools: Grafana

Virtualization: KVM
