Position Description:

Accountant / Office Manager will report to the Director of Business Operations and Finance supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of ARiA such that he/she:

Processes all accounting transactions (billings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expense reports, etc.)

Prepares filings for review in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, as well as preparing filings and submissions for review in accordance with all applicable requirements for licensing, permits, representations and certifications

Ensures a workplace that supports the business objectives of ARiA and supports the work of its employees by:

  • assisting in administration of employee benefits
  • hiring, managing, and scheduling all nontechnical (e.g., facility maintenance) vendors and service-providers
  • managing and scheduling regular meetings and communications within ARiA
  • receiving and processing incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
  • ordering and tracking inventory of supplies
  • maintaining records of ARiA assets

Performs other duties as required


Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience

Proficiency entering transaction and generating reports using standard accounting software (QuickBooks)

Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel

Excellent oral and written communication skills and professional manner

Proven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver excellence in a deadline-intensive environment

Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

Prior experience with accounting and financial requirements and standards for Federal and U.S. Department of Defense contracting
